When I am referring to preview, I don't mean the playback when you get the "Accept?" message (it will be quiet then...), but after you accept the sound, pressing "More", then "Preview".

If that IS what you are doing, what firmware version do you use? There might have been a change there...

im using both a P8 and a T230 and both handsets can set a .AMR filetype as a ringtone... using a .AMR ringtone on a P8 is cheesy (sound quality VS wav) but a .AMR on a T230 is the closest thing one would get to the real thing...
