Saw the Silicone jacket in the shops as P800er is located in SG. Anyway, the jacket looks more like a "Fondom"........whereby you slip the snug little piece of rubber around your phone.

The silicone feels really sticky after a while (SG is very hot and humid) and the material tends to cling to your phone and you'll have a hard time trying to peel it off. (Yucks ! Reminds me of what could have happened on a real *dom)

The silicone is way too thin to provide any impact protection for the P800 anyway. However, it does prevent the phone from getting scratches. So, it you really wanna protect the phone, get a real leather case.

Just my 2 cents worth!

Sorry, but as an electronics engineer and former silicon chip designer, the wide-spread inability of the public to distinguish between these two gets annoying!

Try not to get annoyed about things which 99.999% of the people on the planet don't give a fig about. Concentrate on the things that make you happy instead!

I find that I like the Silicone Jacket more and more as I live with it!

Here's my review (with pix) along with my modified P800 battery cover to accommodate using the Silicone Jacket with a Krusell belt clip.

3vw,

the problem is that your modified one is much better than the original one...

If we could only buy YOUR version of the jacket, things will look much better.
