First of all - In your example that would be perfectly wright.. + - is in fact the same as - So don't worry....
You don't really need the negative numbers with just the +-*/ functions in the phone... You should be able to figure it out in your head.
As in your example;
5 + (-3) is of course the same as 5 - 3
5 - (-3) means 5 + 3
5 * (-3) Here u just use positives, and add a (-) in the answer
5 / (-3) And the same goes for this one..
The more complicated ones: Just use the rules you learnt in school, count the negatives and just use positives in the calculator.
