The price depends on where you are. You can try checking some online stores.

I never owned a t68i, so I can't compare the image quality of the 2 phones, but I've had similar concerns with my t610. Much to my consternation I've found that converting jpg's on my computer to 256 color gifs before uploading to my t610 often improves their appearance on the phone. The color range of the jpg's doesn't appear to be any greater and the gif's are sharper. I'm using a standard jpg compression in Photoshop 7.0 for Mac OS X (8/12 Baseline Standard in Save As... or 60/100 in Save For Web...).

I always resize the images to the phone screen resolution first, and I've played around with the pics in Photoshop, but this remains the case for many images.

I'm wondering if there's a better way to create jpgs specifically for the phone. I'm using a Mac (OS X), so I don't know of any image editing software specifically designed for SE.

The images do actually look better as jpegs since they use full color range instead of 256color GIF limit. I have noticed that it improves the quality greatly to equalize the image, and brighten it before sending to the phone.

I would suggest getting a bluetooth adapter instead of IR. They cost almost the same. But bluetooth is sooo much better.
