> P800 MMS on T-Mobile USA
Bookmark topic
I have a related question about p800 and MMS on T-Mobile in the US. When I send an MMS message with a voice recording attached from my p800 to my home e-mail address, the audio comes in a .wav attachment in the e-mail, but when I play that .wav, it's very short (only the first second or 2 comes through) and garbled...
Any ideas? Do I need to change a setting on the p800? Do I need a special piece of SW on the recieving PC to listen to the audio?

Hi all...
I pretty much spent the part of my weekend testing my MMS settings.
I performed the steps in Bengalboy's Bible to the letter except for setting up e-mail accounts (is there a way to mark messages as read/unread?). For WAP password, I used the password to get into my T-Mobile.com account. At first, things failed but using Johntx's recommendation (removed any parentheses, dashes, and spaces but retained the +1 country prefix) , I was able to send and receive MMS messages successfully (albeit messages took some time to reach me).
Before I considered the problem solved, I decided to reload my PictureMessaging settings (I still had the settings in my Auto Setup inbox). Without modification to the OTA'd settings, I tried Johntx's recommendation and was successful (with the same delays) as well.
This pretty much confirmed what the Level III tech was telling me. The settings I originally had was correct.
It was the extra characters in my phone numbers that was causing the error. Thanks Johntx.
According to the tech, T-Mobile is aware of the situation and is working on a solution. Also in the works is international MMS capability. He says the upgrades may be 6 or so months away.
I want to thank everybody for their help, especially Bengalboy, Johntx, and T-Mobile's Level III Tech, Stanley. I'd still be pulling my hair if it wasn't for your support.
Cheers...

@dieing4p800
I tried to send myself an e-mail with a voice recording and ran into the same problem as yours.
To see if it was a problem with the P800, I tried sending one through my T68i and also had the same problem. Perhaps, this is a T-Mobile issue. I'll shoot a voice mail to my tech contact at T-Mobile and see what he can find out.
Cheers.
