I'm not sure if anyone really cares about this phones camera function, because surely something would have been done by now im getting tired of waiting.

Well i said this again i really dont thing the quality of the cam ever get better the cmos cam have nothing more to offer than this if a clever program like the friend say exist maybe the cam gets a little better maybe but nothing can make the big difference! All of you boys see you webcams and tell me if you see differences at all with drivers update in quality. The thing i dont know is why SE coosen a cmos cam and not a cam like the panasonic, that stupid phone have a super cam and exept the cam nothing else is good loll

Arfi-Gorgona, you see the image on the screen as normal (as in the normal P800 cam program) when you take a picture (which is OK, but a little blurred when using the x4 zoom), and then 1-2 seconds later the image has been cleaned up and is ready for you to do whatever you would normally do with them (MMS, Bluetooth etc).
So really the Photographer program take the camera function and a graphics program and puts them together and automates the whole process - a really great piece of software.
I also has other realtime function (mirror, split, masks to name what I can remember).
I hope it gets ported to the P800
