i wouldn't recommend a t610 and defenitely not a t68i. t39 and r520 are both much better. but nokia 3650 has the best reception i've ever had on a phone.
Please qualify your statement. Why wouldn't you recomment them?

i wouldn't recommend them because i have tried both and i do not consider them to have very solid reception. the 3650 fares much better than the t610 and especially t68i in the rf department.
oh and i'm not talking about the reception bars. i'm talking about making phone calls, bars mean nothing to me.

3650 may be a good phone but look at the size!
he's looking for a small BT-enabled phone.
i don't have RF problems with T610, i'm also with T-Mobile.
Z600 is out so you might also want to try it out, it's still kind of expensive though.
T610/T616 is a good choice.

I'm on AT&T in southern California and I had some pretty bad problems with my T68i. At home it would barely hold a signal if at all. It also had a nasty habit of dropping calls even where reception was really good. The Bluetooth reception worked great with my Powerbook but the cell network reception was horrible. While the gee wiz features were nice the horrible reception made it a clear loser to me. It doesn't seem as if the T616 is going to do much better than the T68 it replaces.
