MARCO > As said earlier, the information comes from various servicepoints, dealers, SE,..and probably some websites/articles in magazines and so on.

And of course, the users in here, dont post information, if they know its false,..no reason for that

AND I never said, that I didnt believe You. That was never the issue.

The thing about the T68i being faster, was basically answered because someone asked, if the T68i was faster than the T68m (with current software).

To this, the answer is YES.

But when T68m has the mms-software, they should be the same.

The battery-standby-times are different.
Quoting : Per Alksten (high position in Sonyericsson),
yes, they use different OS (operative system), thats the main reason for longer battery-standby on T68i. BUT the T68m has longer talktime.
According to Per Alksten, the battery-times will be the only difference in the two phones.

memory-issue :
Also Quoting Per Alksten : the memory might "look" different in the two phones,..but actually/in real life, they are exactly the same.
So NO difference here !

After reading thru. your post .... I think you are pretty stupid. Sorry for being blunt... but this is what a forum is supposed to be. Speculating, offering and discussing alternative views. If you don't like the post.. ignore it. If you hear something, post it. If everyone stick to the bare facts ... close down esato; just sit at home, watch cable and wait for SE to give you the official word and answers.

I don't think that the post was all that unreasonable. I've noticed that some people have been using this forum to indulge in some 'trolling', so a post to clear the air does help on the touchy subject of T68m/T68i/MMS etc...

However, I guess that the post could have been posted in a somewhat friendlier manner.

Anyways, my suggestion is for the moderator of this forum to permanently top post a locked topic on the upcoming T68m upgrade and the T68m/T68i comparison. This post should contain the most recent official information on the new software upgrade and the m/i phone comparisons.

This way we'll stop asking the same question over and over again and getting confused with rumours.

-peace all-

Ed

Even if it was one "locked" Topic (Its more like the FAQs)
- but anyway I think there will be lots of new Topics (containing MMS/t68m/i etc.) anyhow, coz "someone heard that it wasnt the same Mem. size and so on..."

And what the h**l it is a forum, if you ask to stupid thing at least a few tells you to lock in te FAQs!

Thats my simple opinion!

rurouni> Yes you're right, I could have wrote this post friendlier.

For all, Yes ok, forum is for exchange of all infos. you're right.

But I still can't imagine where those false thinkings about T68m/i came out from.
Here or there or in some other place... someone is joking with us, I think.

Perhaps I'm wrong. Personally I would prefer to be wrong, because I would'nt like anyone to say false things on purpose.
Perhaps this "things" came out after many usual unwanted misunderstandings people make during speeches.

However I liked that people which answered this post gave me good answers.

Thanks

Ciao!

It's funny... I work as IT-Comunication advicor in my company. Been reading Esato since October/November last year. I only have Ericsson phones in stock, for several reasons. I allso have a close relatoinship with SE here in Norway.
There have been times where I called SE to doubble check info I gotten here on Esato and in 9 out of 10 times it's been right! I have found Esato usefull, as mentioned for work, and allso for private use.
I must admit I have sent post and replies I later found was not true, but it's been in good faith. I would not call that lies when the info has been from, what I thought was, a reliable source?
I'm very lucky 'cause mobile phones is a great passion of mine, so I get paied for my hobby.
To cut a long story short: I find Esato reliable! But use a bit of common sence, there will always be people out there who think they know everything. You can spot it in some posts quite easily!!!
So come on: be real.

Marco:

I think most of the people get their facts while browsing the internet, reading different sites, quoting different things or listening to the 'big joke' Ericsson 'help' service... they're the ones that are more full of shit, answering your questions in a way that afterwards you think: "What more do I know now than before???"

But then again I'm SURE there are just as many 'ass-holes' as you say, intentionally posting crap, i heard there was a pink T68, all that crap...

I suppose that's the beauty of a forum, you get to choose what you believe and what you take with a pinch (or bucket) of salt

c u!
