Thanks for the responses. I am going to resync with my computer.
As for the 10s Off button trick. Well, it didn't work with the freeze I encountered. Popping the battery was the only solution here.

I don't use Outlook. I'm on a Mac. But yes, a forced resync solved the problem.

I posted a solution to fix the problem in a german forum (www.telefon-treff.de). But at the moment I don't have time to translate it. Maybe someone other will do that

Not sure if I can follow all the steps, but here's a web translation. Looks like the technology isn't quite there yet. Slightly easier to decode though.

Thanks.

I had the same problem already. You can lEe?sen it, by making a master
reset or all contact lEe?schst and synchronizes the telephone again.
Only you must again set then the call numbers of type of status.
With me the already following bew‰?¡hrt itself:
1. -> Picture with the StandartgrEe?sse (32x32) create and store
2. -> And change over GrEe?sse on 101x80 edit picture, afterwards store
3. -> Picture try by SMS dispatch
Afterwards becomes the Natel abståürzen (BUG!) and 2x reboot.
Thus the memory is again read in and under Umst‰?¡nden has you then
your contacts again. MEe?glicherweise tr‰?¡gt also activating IRDA
before the obrigen procedure to success.
Importantly: By the crash also different data are lost (e.g. notes)
kEe?nnen or further problems to develop, which can be recovered
however with a master RESET again.

I've had the same problem. You can fix it by a master-reset or erasing all contacts and then re-synchronizing them. But by this way, the defaultnumbers get lost.
Sometimes the following trick has solved the problem:
1. -> Create and save a picture with the standard-size (32x32)
2. -> Edit the picture and resize it to 101x80
3. -> Try to send the picture by SMS
The phone will hang up (BUG!) and reboot 2 times. After that the memory gets re-read and if you're lucky the contacts appear

. I'm not sure, but maybe the activation of IRDA before the above process will force to get the contacts.
Warning: During the "crash" some data can get invisible/lost (e.g. Notes) or the phone will have some other problems. But these can be fixed with a master-reset.
Good chance
