The T610 has to be the worst phone I have every owned. Text messaging is such a pain in the ass compared to Nokia and how about the millions of steps you have to go through to send an message. Oh and how about how the side menu buttons keep changing the kind of action they do. You can tell that the system was written by a techie rather than someone with a grasp of usability.
I have thrown it across the room a number of times in frustration already.. cant wait til my 12mnths are up.
A classic example is typing "..." - always tried to use a smiley which i never use its such a pain. Rubbish dictionary also... doesn't pick up names in address books argh the list goes on.
Menu pointer thing - what a waste of space, how many time do you have to go backwards and forwards trying to get into the right menu.
Arrgh the list goes on I will never by a Sony Erricson phone again... I always had Ericsson b4 - t29 t28 etc etc but this is just the pits
did i mention how slow it was....
Last rant - editing a entry in the address book - oh my god could it be made any harder? How many steps? How many times does the right menu button change type of action? Edit Done Save Exit all on same button...
Stick with Nokia, at least they think about their menus...

The dictionary may be the same, put if you are accessing it through the illogical Sony then your still buggered.

If you've used the T28, you'll understand what slow actually is.

Maybe its a habit from my past Nokia phone, but i thought it was a good idea to have your message displayed on the screen once its sent out. Unlike in my T610 the screen defaults back to standby... I have to get the message out of Sent folder ( takes 5 more key presses ! )
incase i wish to do something more with it
I hope SE are doing something about their messaging interface which i believe is pain in the A**
There are things I'd like different on the T610, but that is not one of them. It annoyed the hell out of me when I switched from SE to Nokia (in -97) that sent messages wouldn't go away by themselves... Very happy when switching back in -03 that they do.
