The original poster might have a habit that the P800 does not tolerate. Like taking pictures until drive C is full, and so on. This message was posted from a P800

Also in Spain I've been able to upgrade the firmware (I know it sounds like a joke but it's true).

Mine also hangs if I ever have a call waiting and try to "release and switch" (option 3). I have to take the battery out to get my phone back.

Now I live in the US and we can't get firmware upgrades from SE, so I figure I have to complain and send it in.

Maybe they'll upgrade it...

Speaking of bad habits that a P800 won't like, removing the battery is one of them; regardless of the phone state, hold the off-button for 10 seconds.... this works on the T68i too.

I must agree with the majority of the posters here: the P800 is generally well behaved, though I can kill it if I want, by overfilling c: drive for example (ALWAYS keep 2MB minimum free!! More for a firmware upgrade, since the new software is generally larger!!), running app after app after app without killing off some I'm not using, pushing butons etc. without giving the phone chance to respond etc.

Be nice to it, it will be nice back.

I have to say that I've encountered a few of the problems mentioned. Especially the "insert SIM card" message when I have to take out the battery to restart.

However, I don't see anything else around that can give you the range of possibilities in a small device. I want only one thing in my pocket. So when I'm on the train surfing the internet, texting my friends, reading emails all the while listening to my fav cd's on oog, I'm pretty happy with this great phone.

My single complaint is the battery life. I would recommend the SE Travel Charger (the one that sticks directly into the socket, no wire) I leave this at work and have the normal charger for overnight use. That works pretty well.
