AHA....!
XDA-II or P810?
....i knew this question will come out soon!
well, yeah, both models are still actually under wraps, and are both very much awaited by everyone, and we're just being teased by website news. for now all we can do is sit and wait.
ok.... maybe a XDA-II, if one already own a P800. or wait for a while and see how the anxious public beta-tests them for about 3-4 months more, before we decide which one to buy.

The main difference is the SDIO Slot. You can use WLAN SDIO card on O2. But size is also important for mobility. If O2 uses compact screen (like p800) with the same resolution I prefer it

I can't imagine getting an XDA II. Based on all the awful stuff I've read on the XDA. I'd have to wait 6 mos after relase to make sure they'd fixed it all.
To me it's either the P8xx and the Treo 600. But I'm going to wait a couple of months and make sure Handspring fixed all their problems too.
(and yes, decide if I can live w/o bluetooth)

p810 will probably top off as the best device. Even if the p810 is just what the p800 should have been in the first place. I think Sony had more say in to this phone than ericcsson which i salways a good thing.

epscilon and santa agree with both of you.
A friend has the original XDA and is really fed-up with it. Even with all the firmware updates it is a very poor phone - the PDA side is fine but the XDA as a voice communication device is worst than the cheapest mobile phones. So I suggest you really test the XDA II as a phone before buying one.

KEY ISSUE of p800 is battery life. everyone hates it.
HOWEVER, XDA offers 150hrs standby, and p800 offers 400!! Now, either p800 is wildly exadurated, or both are. I'm guessing that benchmarks for all phones are dicky at best. Given frustration of "400 hours", I'd run from anything advertising 150!!!

@craigiecraigie4
I don't hate the battery life of my P800.
I have used a Clie NR70 (Palm) for nearly a year before acquiring my P800. The Clie's battery needed charging after about 2 days of light use and in one day if used a lot. On this basis, and given that my P800 is a phone and PDA and I use BT most of the time during the day I find having to charge my P800, one average, about every 1.5 days is not bad performance (my P800 s on 24hrs a day).

Before I got my P800, I used a T-Mobile Pocket PC (XDA).
I traveled with it instead of my PC for short trips.
I could always go 2 days without charging and that included listening to music during my flight (2 1/2 hours), doing all of my e-mails and numerous phone calls.
It once gave me a low battery message on a return flight while listening to music, but I had a particularly long usage of telephone time that day (a three hour conference call).
What move me off of the XDA was no bluetooth and/or voice activation.
I really like my P800, but the XDA is so much better if you live with Outlook. As has been stated before, the XDA is a PDA -> Phone and the P800 is a Phone -> PDA.
That said, I'll definately try the XDA II when it comes out, just because the P800 sync software is so bad.
Also, with the new 400 mhz processor, SDIO, bluetooth, voice activation, wifi; it sounds pretty good.
Then I'll probably hate it because of it's size when I'm not traveling...
