The country is GB.
As a newbie the signal bars are constantly changing from low to high without moving the phone. My last phone was on Vodaphone and it was an old ericsson phone which had no signal loss.

Ignoring the dancing bars for a moment, have you tried to use the phone in your "normal" places? Is the quality of the signal substantially worst?

i think he should create file in C: called Sysdata then stick an .Mp4 in there which has sound then name it startup this will then boost the phone signal as soon as the phone is switched on and give him near normal performance try this my friend let me know how you get on.

Vermania is a real expert but he also has his own version of humour. Don't discount him.
Anyway regarding faulty phones. I have owned two Ericsson T39s and one was much worst than the other. It had to be fixed twice in two years. I also had a Siemens phone which could not hold onto a signal - I asked this to be exchanged for another model. As Verm was suggesting, take your P800 back to the shop and say it does not work, it is not fit for purpose and ask for a new one. Don't ask it be fixed, as I found the problem can persist.

day in day out i'm appauled by peoples lack of genneral knowledge. You think theese people living here would at least have some basic knowledge about exceptional british consumer rights. SPC and i bow our heads in shame.
