It cannot find the server. I have no DNS so I ran the command and typed in figures instead of letters for incoming and outgoing servers. Well, I mailed Vodafone about it and hopefully Iīll get a solution.

Remember that if you are using GPRS you need to use a data account with APN=internet. That means you have to have GPRS & internet access via GPRS activated for your account.
If you are using dial-up, the above does not apply...

yeah... I was thinking a bit more info on what he has done so far, error messages, carrier etc etc might get him a speedier result.

Are you sure the mail server is up and operational? Can you access it from your PC?
There is always a chance that they have limited the use of the server through their network only. You should check with your ISP
