Does that mean i need to go to a phone repair shop and have that plate screwed back on ?
or is it always going to stay like this no matter what is done ?

I think it has to do with the list of prefered nets in the phone, it is a list of networks and MNC numbers to tell the phone which nets have agreements with the provider the phone came from. There seems to be no way to add them via the handset. So you need to find a knowledgeable tech to get it working.

is the fact that the metal plate at the back of the antenna loose make messages fail when they are sent?this seems to happen each time i send a message, on whatever network i am. i have to try to resent one or two times for it to eventually go.
I emailed sony ericsson 1 week and a half about my problems and i am still waiting for an answer.... that is not too appreciable from their part i have to admit

i went to a repair shop today. they told me if one network is working fine, then the phone is all right. they blamed the meteor network itself. i guess ill remain like that then.
customer care of sony ericsson finally answered back after i mailed them a second time. they also said the phone is not to blame if one network works fine and asked me to contact vodafone uk where the phone was bought and see if there are any locks that might have been put in.
ill wait for answer from there
thanks a lot guys
