i had exactly the same problem as the original poster - SE fixed it as part of the warranty. took them about 8 days. they just put a new flip on it for me.

i've actually got a spair flip now from my old p900 that the screen stopped working on. (couldn't be bothered waiting for SE to fix it so just got insurance company to send a new one).

its the new flip SE put on it for me, if any1 is interested in buying it. bet if i sell it i'll end up needing it tho!
