I did exactly like you did...went to MSN My Mobile to set up my cell number. When my friends are online, they could send my SMS, and I got their txt msg, but the problem is that their msg come with reply address of sequential numbers (501,502,503,etc...) So I thought they had to figure something on their sides because otherwise how would your phone know your friend's phone number when they're on MSN.
Man, this drives me crazy when they text me and I can't reply hehehe..

you've got it wrong. It means that your friends who ARE online can send you MSN messages that get delivered to your phone as an SMS when you are offline

I went to MSN My Mobile to set up my cell number. When my friends are online, they can send me SMS from MSN Messenger and it says received from numbers such as 510, 511, 512, and so forth. When I hit reply and write back, it never gets back to my friends, even though they're still online with MSN login. Why?

yes this is a problem with t-mobile....they said it has something to do with the agreement between them and msn and they only get to relay the message to you in the form of a text message but they cannot allow for you to be able to reply....hence the odd 500 numbers that they use for stuff.....so i guess this means that any1 with t-mobile service (like me) is outta luck....sorry guys
