Well i would call a 65K screen over a 4K screen a HUGE difference, and thats just the start. This message was posted from a P800

65k screen is very nice but if you cant see it when the sun shines on it it is about as useful as a chocolate fire place guard.

Can the P900 edit word, excel docs? is the camera any better than the p800? I know its still 640*480, but with the 65K screen, would the picture appear better? and what are the other improvements?

Bottomline: Would selling your p800 for the p900 + cash be worth it?

UIQ2.1 will be available for the P800 too.
It's the same phone in fact, same processor, same OS,...

And the look??? everybody his idea about that, i don't like the old-fashionned sony look the p900 have. not modern and cool enough, even the p800 is better !

UIQ2.1 available for the P800?? Are you sure?? I've seen this mentioned several times in this forum. Is this based on reliable sources or just another case of wishful thinking?

UIQ2.1 is one of the main new features of the P900, so it would be very generous of SE to give it to P800 users. And do we know if the P800 has adequate memory to support it??

To be honest, I can't really see why the P800 can't have UIQ2.1, the only thing that may go against it is the memory aspect.

I think in the long run it will be a 50/50 show. There will be companies charging an arm and a leg to flash / upload UIQ2.1 on a P800, but will warn about it eating memory; then of course you get service centres who won't upgrade because they will say it'll downgrade the phone slightly.

Could be interesting...

Hey guys, don't forget the video recording software in v2.1.

As for view out in the sun, remember the P900 is using TFT screen. It will be even clearer out there in the sun. The P800 with only 4096 TFT colours already does so well in this area. What more the 16-bit TFT screen of the P900...

The firmware of P900 uses 25 MB out of the available 32 MB. P800's ROM chip is 16MB.

so how do u expect to fit ur precious UIQ2.1 on the P800?
rewrite it? cuz a few hundred users want it?
yeah ok...
SE is not running a charity..

while ur at it, keep asking for java on the T68i
it will never happen
