Well if they do as they say and allow software upgrades online then I can't see why you can't try and see if it works, they can't exactly stop you.

If they allow us to update phones other than the likes of the P900 etc then it will most certainly have controls in it to ensure it is updating the right phone, presumably in much the same way it does at the service centre.
Personally I don't see this self upgrade ability for these sorts of phones

Turkey about 2-3 days ago about this online upgrade thing and if the 630 s/w could be installed to the 610. When I have the answers I'll immediately post them.
Having real answers are better than rumours and wishes, right?
@Vick: What's the diff between the 300 & 310 s/w's?.. I only know that one has 24 sounds polys and the other has 32, which is a hardware difference...
PS: It is a stupid thought, I know, but I can't resist it. I think we might be able to change the screens, too; you know, with the ones sold on ebay... (But I won't be the first to try it out!!!

Is it true, then it will be no problems using t630 firmware on a t610.
Can i just walk in the service centre and say i want t630 firmware when its releast.
