You should first try to make a call with your headphones to make sure if it's "software problem" or "hardware problem".

Symbian has lot's of bugs but it's not MS!! Don't really need a master reset tho

Regards.

Yeah I just tried that (after I had done a reset!) and the headphones work fine so it must be the speaker!

We'll I think you must mean the same but you're problem is about the phone headphone not the speaker (as you can hear the 'beep' before start ringing).

As a temporary 'fix' (while you don't get to your service center you can use the speaker function during calls. During the call press the speaker icon and you can activate it.

Yeah, when I said speaker I meant the phone speaker not the one at the back.

Will have to get to a SC asap, think I'll go back to my t68i until then!

Cheers,

Hi ultimatemobiles,

u r not alone... damn I had the same problem since yesterday, though it came back after a few reboots of the phone. But today... gone, there's completely no sound from my P800's front speaker (the speaker where you listen to the other party talks). The strange thing is, the 'took' sound is still there everytime I tried calling, just plain no ringing tone and no voice from the other party when they pick up the phone.

BT, Handsfree speaker phone (the speaker behind the phone) still works though

Ok, had it sent in this morning and I was told to only get it back 2 days later cos they need to monitor as it may not be as simple as just a faulty speaker. But after some bargaining, the SC techie agrees to pick it up tomorrow afternoon. Just crossed my fingers now and hope it gets resolved easily and nothing that serious. I will update here again tomorrow once I get my phone back.

Cheers
