hey wrath, I've seen you mention that SMS have their own memory before but I haven't seen it mentioned anywhere else so just for my own interest where di you find that out please?

That's where I can see that i'm using 80% of my SMS memory (4 SMSs) and 0% of my phone memory. I can't alter anything on that menu option

Message arrives - you get a popup on the phone that says "read yes or no" - what do you do after that please.
ALso - where are your messages appearing in the Text menu "Inbox" or "SIM Archive"?

Eh? I don't have anything like 80 messages in my phone!! I have 4, which is 80% full - and when I have 5 it's 100% full. There's no confusion there.

I just get a text message message and it says I have a new message but I don't get asked where to store it.

I have firmware R1A081, so i'm going to get a firmware update asap and see if that fixes it. I've read that the limit is 75 SMSs on your phone, not none!

Is there an official list of firmware revisions and what they do?

i'm not sure if you've tried this already, but make sure you havn't got any messages stored n your out box aswell cause that count in you tex memory aswell!
And definatly advise you getting a new sim card cause old sim will def affect the genaral working of the phone especially one thats 5 years old! good luck!
