i have heard that when sony ericsson releases their OTA firmware update, that this would be fixed - but i have the same firmware as mentioned above so there must be something else to blame here. i hope it's not a manufacturing defect in the hardware that got out into production.

yeah I hope not too. It'll take forever to get the phone back if I send it to SE and that is also only when it is "officially" released in us
