Master reset is a bit drastic for an intermittent network problem.
In my experience, the bulk of "suddenly stopped working" problems can be broken down as follows:
1) Network problem, can tweak your phone all day nothing going to work until network fixed.
2) Phone throwing a bit of a tizz, from main screen remove battery with phone on. Leave for a minute, replace, power on, retry.
3) Someone messed with the settings.
4) You had another GPRS service added to your orange account (normally MMS). On Orange this can cause the GPRS to stop working in a small but not insignificant number of cases.

ok, I think i have found something out. I have tried various settings, and I have got the basic Orange wap working, but it will view wapsites but will not send any emails from the email manager in the T610. But I cannot get GPRS working, I have four GPRS accounts on my phone. A GPRS Internet, GPRS Wap and Pay and go GPRS Ineternet and Pay n go GPRS Wap. Right I have tried all four accounts a number of times and no luck. What I have found out tho, is that the phone is sending a few hundered bytes but is not recieving anything at all when I connect to GPRS. Is this anything to do with me being on pay and you go? I have NOT suscribed to any GPRS pacakges but previously it was working on a pay n go basis, i pay i think it was something like around 2p per kb or something. I have had my phone for three months, is that anything to do with it, I know orange offer this 3 months free wap thing, could my three months be up and this is why my GPRS has stopped working? Fianly, ignoring GPRS for one minuite, does anyone have any idea why I cannot send emails using the T610 email thing, using orange wap.
By the way to send my emails i am using an yahoo account and it is all set up correctly because I have used it various times before, but since the 1st of nov it has all stopped working. Thanx for any help in advance

The GPRS internet is the account you want for Email. PYG WAP can be deleted, both pay monthly and PAYG now use the same gateways. WAP cannot be used to download mail into the handset, only to browse using the WAP browser.
Settings to check on the data account are DNS addresses (158.043.192.001 and 158.043.128.001)
Under Quality of service (I think) on a T610 you should have all 5 options set to subscribed, Reliability is often set to class 3.

Its possible, but if the WAP settings work, then the internet should do as well. GPRS still needs to be on the account on PAYG to access the service.

No, the 3 months trial applies only to WAP, and is a pay monthly offer only. If it runs out it goes to subscription unless you cancel and is only a tariff. Without it, you pay the standard GPRS costs, but it wont disable GPRS.

CAn you elaborate? Is this using the WAP page from the Orange World homepage or trying to send from the T610 via WAP? If its the latter, then the WAP gateway allows access only to WAP sites, hence the phone cannot find your mail gateway you have to connect to orangeinternet to send/receive SMTP/POP3 email on Orange.

Just spotted that bit, I understand that Yahoo have withdrawn PoP access to their free mail accounts, apparently you now need to subscribe to their mail in order to be able to use this facility. Naturally I cannot currently log into my yahoo mail to be able to confirm this
Finally got into it:
POP Access & Forwarding
Forward to another mail account, or download your Yahoo! messages to your POP3 mail client for only $19.99/year.

I have tried enetering both of the ip addresses you gave me (before the dns on my phone was just blank but it did work and i have sent numerous emails before from the T610's email manager) Neither of the ip addresses had any effect. My fone connects but it then says loading, does nothing for ages then says communication error, try again or check your settings. Failing this, is there a gprs server i can use on my fone, from another company, which is just charged on a pay and go basis where i can connect to to send my emails, i arent bothered about wap on my fone, just being able to send emails from the T610's email manager.

The point I think you missed is that it is no longer to download PoP3 email from yahoo if you aren't paying for your email with them.
If you want to PM me your Orange internet and Email settings as entered on the phone then I will check them for you if you want.
Failing that ring Orange on 156 and ask someone there to go through the settings with you, from the errors you are getting it sounds like config.
I havent tested what happens when an unsubscribed Yahoo account tries to download mail on the SE phones, but the errors you are reporting sounds like your internet configuration may not be correct.

Yeah I did see the bit about the yahoo pop thing, but in the uk im not sure if that applys because aslong as your suscribed to their service where they send you ads you can download via pop. Even so ive set up a free hotpop account which allows you to download and send emails from a pop client. Still no joy, I have done a settings reset on my T610 so all the internet settings are the same as when I had my T610, however when pressing the internet button on my phone now it comes up with the orange services page, if i click on one of the links, ringtones for example it then says you dont have a wap profile and need to set one up, there is then two options, what to connect with (Orange GPRS Internet) and then the IP address, I cannot leave the IP address blank, I thought it may have been just blank because all the other IP addresses and dns settings are blank and previously the internet has worked just fine. So does anyone know this IP address im supposed to enter?
