I think the dilemma is going over most of your heads. The point is some apps need to run constantly, sure the call should end when the flip is closed and the display should return to standby but a java app should have the choice to ignore the closing of the flip. Maybe the apps need to be written for a clamshell formfactor... This message was posted from a T68i

Anyway.. I realized that you cannot have a java program running and do something else, like placing a phone call.
So basically it would be of no use even if the program didn't close, since you would have to close the program to do anything other than messaging.
I'm just too used to phones with "multitasking" I guess
