will my number be portable to tmobile from now on? or just for a few days? cause unfortunately i have a contract w/ att for another 5-7 months.

but why would my friend get really good reception where i dont? we have same att....like i said he has the motorola c333, which isn't a top of the line phone.

would getting a new sim card help? i'll try to switch mine out with his in the next few days and see if i can get better reception.

thanks.
tifish.

number portability starts Nov 24th. I also heard you will be able to convert your home landline number to a cellphone number......

i guess your stuck in the contract for another 5-7 months.

okay...i was looking through the FAQ a little...

and it says here in the phone that i have version R5D007
i called sony, and they can update my software for $37...to R8__015?
will that honestly give me better reception though? seems hopeless.

i also called the local ATT wireless store...and the guy pretty much said screw off because i didn't buy my service or phone through his store. wtf? said that he can't really help me at all because i got the phone and plan online. can't even give me a new SIM card.

i just want this thing to work.

any other suggestions?
like i asked before....hands down, what cellphone gets best reception? (doesnt' necessarily have to be SE)

thanks,
tifish.

You have just quoted your hardware revision. To get your software revision enter, i have forgotten the code. This message was posted from a R520
