I think my approach will be to get the first unbranded P900 I can get hold of (ignoring the off-contract or grey import options).

I'm currently with Vodafone, but will happily ditch them if the competition can get an unbranded phone on the streets first. (I've looked at each provider's tarrifs for my usage, and there doesn't seem to be a lot in it.)

By the way, how much data do you guys pull down via GPRS? The P900 will be my first GPRS phone an I'm not sure how large a data package I should opt for. (I know this is a 'how long is a piece of string' question, but I thought I'd ask anyway.)

Do any of you know if the P900 on Vodafone will be customised ie, start up logos, or will it be simply the Sony Ericsson Sim free version?

Thanks.

The fact that a Vodafone shop and Vodafone customer services both told me that the phone had been delayed until 1st December leads me to believe that they're customising it. Otherwise, why would there be any delay?

Of course - that's just me reading between the lines. I'd love to hear a more definative asnwer.

I was told this morning that it was delayed for more network tests...

I do doubt they will customise it

Interesting. Does that imply that it failed some earlier network test?!

All they want to do is to add the crap Vodaphone live! menu. I just swiched from voda to 3 G ( which was crap) and then to Orange for the P900.
