If I wanted a digital camera, I'd have gotten a digital camera, not a phone. And I did get a digital camera because I wanted one. That said, the camera in the T610 really is crap. The T300's camera was MUCH better, it could at least do 640x480 and that phone was 1/3 the price. Worse, you can't use that camera with the T610 because SE sez so. Then T-Mobile threw in a few more things to take the edge off the fun. The T-Zones icon points to the most uninspired wap page I've come across. The Downloads icon points to a page that says my phone isn't capable of downloads and various features I used a lot on other phones are missing on the T610. Not because they aren't there, they are, but the menu items were removed so you can't get at them. For example, T-Mobile removed the data counter menu item but they did it their typically half-assed way and forgot to take it out of the shortcut menu options so if you add it to the shortcuts menu, you can still get at it.
One word: "Java".
It's a good phone that could have been a great phone if SE and T-Mobile had reigned in their bullshit marketting schemes for 10 minutes.

I dont like using keylock and I have the same problem with the WAP button. But I now change the WAP profile to a different carrier so when I hit it - it does nothing.
With regards to the screen - I'm used to it - but then again I came from a T68i. What I find quite scary is the amount of times I blind myself by reflecting the sun in my eyes. Stupid stupid shiny aluminium/black reflective phone... ooh but you are so pretty... I forgive you.

right where shall i start, not all points are for everyone i just read through what different people have said and put my comments...
cameras on phones are only meant for fun they aint for taking holiday snaps on, ive taken many pictures just fine. if you really dont like it then just pretend it doesnt have a camera, the phone is as cheap as many non-camera phones. btw i suggest you dont get a nokia 7250 the camera is just as bad
personally ive not had a problem with memory k so it only has 2mb but thats enough to store 2 themes, 3 ringtones, loads of contacts, about 50 text messages and quite a few pictures, i cant be bothered to count the pictures on my phone, but if your pretending it doesnt have a camera then thats even more space for ring tones and themes.
maybe its time to get your eyes check out, the screen isnt great in direct sunlight, but anyone that owns a t610 will tell your its still prefectly usable.

turn auto-keylock on, after 20 seconds of inactivity on the phone ut switches the keylock on. most people dont just look at their phone for more than 20seconds without pressing a button.
yes there are clear all text messages. theres no clear all pictures... but i cant see anyone ever really wanting to use that. i cant see a problem witht he os, want to make a call pres down on the stick, find the name and call, write a text, press left (if you set left to write text), write the text message, then send the text they improved the number of actions you need to make on the new firmware.
with the java slowness on the t610, get the firmware upgraded, its been improved by about 30% and dont go by jbenchmarks score the t610 doesnt load images that are bigger than, i think its 200 pixels wide, the animation benchmark uses an image much bigger than this so the pic aint loaded and the test doesnt run and so gets 0, i modified the image and made it much smaller so the test would run and got a very reasonable score.
se cant help it if people develop games using phone specific api's, hence wont work on se phones, untill ported. developers are starting to port games to the t610 macrospace have most of their good games ported. summer games by mr goodliving i believe is being ported.
why dont you like using key lock... or do you like calling people when the phone is in your pocket...

ringtone can be adjusted if u know how to use computer!!!!!!!!!!
there is a keylock for the keypad and u can set it to auto keylock after 5 sec!!!!!!!!!! read the manual.
maybe those pages for u is useless.... and rememer...
not make those phone for ya need.... they make it for majority user.

I bought T610 recently, and i found it a very decent phone. But..., what i thought as minor drawbacks are turning out to be a big headache for me, ESPECIALLY the "fade in ringing". I miss so many calls. I hope someone from SE works on that.
Another thing is that i was a bit disappointed with the camera. I thought SONY is best in that segment and hence the camera will be much better than No*ia. But my frnd sent me photo frm No*ia 3650, it was bigger and better:-(.
The manual they provided was of no use at all. I found that lot of features are not at all mentioned.
But when it comes to looks, no one can beat this one. LOOKS amazing even from a mile.(not like the strange looking Ns)
I hope someone gets rid of the ringtone thing in the next firmware upgrade. BTW which is the latest firmware version?
I felt very bad when i heard that SE has dropped out of the TOP 5.

Note: I hve a new hobby now, I like to SHINE my new phone all the time with the soft cloth they have given. And believe me it looks amazing every time i clean it.

well that's easy to solve, change the wap settings e.g chang e wap dial up no to 123456789 and then it can't connect.
