Interesting that the P900 incorporates new battery technology allowing the battery to empty from left to right (as opposed to the old right to left of the P800)

We all know that, but my question was more about the fact that physical dimensions of the screen are the same, so A L L application designed for P800 should work just fine on P900, both having the same screen size. There might be UIQ issues since differenet versions, but as we all expect, there should be allways downward compatibility.

Why shoud there "allways" be downward compatibility? dome P800 apps, such as eDoom, are coded to target specific display registers of the P800. So it does NOT work on a P900.
It's not the P900's job of ensuring downward compatibility, it the SW developers job not to code to a specific platform.
