There were once so many of us, a proud and noble race, alas I fear that mobile charging units have been like poison to us! I am so happy to see so many of my brothers here with me.

Unlike Nokias (which I have used), the P900 alarm will not activate when the phone is truned off. But selecting flight mode on the P900 will mean the phone facilities are off and thus less battery charge is used. The PDA functions will be on but the screen saver will minimise battery use. Therefore leaving the P900 overnight will not use much battery power - I know as I never turn my P900 off. I use it a lot every day I get 48 hours ususally from the battery (I have two batteries and a desktop charger).

@lucky777
Online, Sorry about the fact that this thread has drifted away from your original question, i'm sure that someone like me, who has the P900 (a great phone BTW) will spare a couple of seconds out of his (or her) day to test this, then it will be completely settled.

Not long now, i'm sure

Did i mention what a superb phone the P900 is, as long as you keep it well charged,(night time is a good time).

Thanx guys. I put my P8 on flight mode @ night just to save battery and was just wondering if the P900 was different. The T68i did this a charm see

I will admit... I'm a fly-by-night charger too...

But no, it will not ring when the phone is off. When it's OFF, it really is OFF.

Flight mode, with the screen set to turn off, uses up so little power it's ridiculous. So no worries, use flight mode... At least you can still use the P900 as an emergency flashlight or clock at night.
