Surely the cost of the phone would be astronomical to have a quality digi cam in their !
be happ with what sony ericsson have created they could have made it equvilent to a 6600 but no they got their finger out and made a very very good phone / everything else tool!
fact remains a little effort was lacking in not addin 0 Lux support or the camera which Samsung have put in the E700
truly astonshing that thing can capture anything in the dark with the slgihtest bit of light.
P900 seems to just make the picture blurry by activating night mode.

Nokia camera phones (night mode) picture quality always seems to surpass Sony Ericssons, however SE camera phones seem to out perform nokias in good lighting conditions, atleast i believe so, does this make sense?

I totaly agree. P900's camera work best in daylight, but very poorly at night especially in environment that uses light bulb instead of fluoresence (the pix becomes yellowish). At first I was very disappointed with p900 camera, but then come to think of it with any digital camera (except the one that really expensive ~$1000's), if the lighting is insufficent ==> you still get poor picture quality anyway.
