Yet having 1 standard software for all types of cellphones will have their benefits.
1) Applications built for one phone will work on another as long as they use the same os and the harware specs are quite similar.
2) Handset prices will be brought down like what happened in the PC market. Who knows, we might get to a point where we can build our own phones... (with the features we really want).
