Omar, Jah, I've tried every configuration I can think of. I think I might try and get a later version of the browser if possible, as peanut mentioned, and try that.

Matham, it's an O2 branded phone, and all the data settings are already on the phone, and as I said before, I can access wap and web pages over GPRS through the phones internet browser... just not Opera.
Jah, thanks for that, I see what you mean about the 2 types of GPRS connection, and I've checked the settings against those on the phone, and they're all there.
When I set the preffered connection to Mobileweb, I now get an 'Activation not allowed' message when going through Opera, but the normal browser still works ok.

I've had this problem too, very occasionally.
It seems to happen when my p900 gets low on memory.
I just go to sman and either close some other apps, or free up some memory. I can then reload opera and it works fine. I've found that if i just have opera running and a maximum of 2 other small programs then I have no problems.
