Greetings everyone...

IMHO, it is better for SE to provide their P900 user the same feature of Delivery Report as in T610, which one of them is 'Set on send'.

I hope that SE hear about this complain and apply the available suggestions here in the next firmware of P900.

Regards,

T-Shirt.

I have known some GSM phones, i think from Nokia, that actually make a record of missed calls even if your phone is off.

Maybe it is a software issue and someone could develop such an app. Would be useful.

On the SMS side of things, I have upgraded to P900, but still have my P800. I have forward all voice calls on P800 to voicemail but cant seem to forward my TXT messages to my new number, any ideas?

cheers

no handset can register missed calls if switched off - it is not possible to divert text messages in the same way as diverting calls.

Let us define 'off'. I take it to mean that the phone is not using any power whatsoever and has no applications running. Furthermore the phone's radio components are not transmitting or receiving any data at all.
It would therefore seem obvious that a call cannot be logged by the phone for the simple fact that the phone cannot receive the call, even just to register that it was missed. However, there could be a way around this problem. If the network logged incoming calls whilst your phone was off and sent that list to your phone upon it being reactivated then that would be one way of checking missed calls whilst your phone was off or in flight mode. At the moment I know of no network (certainly no British network) that provides such a service.

Yousaf is right... SMS Cant be diverted and no phone can register calls while off.

When the phone is off, the network itself deals with the call, it never reaches the handset...

Yeah, the text just queues up for upto a week usually untill your sim card registers again on the network.

with the sms it depends on what the sender has set on their phone...

if they set it as 1 day then the network will try and send for a day and then if no joy give up etc...

Westel in Hungary has such a service. You get an sms listing all the calls that were made to your phone while it was unavailable.
