If it's just restoring what was downloaded before, that implies that a record is kept of the downloaded version. This is probably on the local computer (or SE would have the data protection act to contend with).
If that's the case there is probably a setting somewhere, like the registry, with the CDA number in it. Change that and the restore process might be able to restore a different firmware...
Not that I'm suggesting anyone do that and report back to the group, just thinking aloud.

program and if it was put in there you could use the
recovery mode to flash it to the phone because
it dosent turn on the phone and check the CDA.
