I had the same problem with my 64Mb Duo. Got it exchanged with the dealer for a brand new one. Guess the old one was faulty.

sony orginal a it could not read the card as well.

there has been a thread about ms duo pro that I read here that says they wont work.

and since your size is 256 its probably a PRO... which mean it wont work even if it claims its a non PRO...

have a look at this very extensive research on Duo and Duo Pro and memory sizes. At the moment any 256mb Duo is a Pro and will not work with the Pxxx
