no. amr files CAN be used in MMS messages and played back as such, however they can not be set as ringtones

Well, the ideea is that i had some amr's( i don't know if they r the same as true tones) and i did use it as ringtones.I still have R1L0013 but it did work..i didn't like it so i deleted it.SO...i guess it's possible after all.

AMr's can be used in mms. I send them all the time. You have to have headset plugged in or hold handset to ear to hear them!
my 6600 can play amr files as message or ringtone

Ummm...can we still talk about it...i would also be interested in downloading amr files to my t230 via wap if they work as ringtones. I second the question, is there a site which will allow u to upload amr to wap?
