Okay so you have tried all the following with no results:

1. Used the latest version of PC Suite (ver 2.1.1)
2. Installed PC Suite after uninstalling the firewall s/w and disabling the virus checker
3. Ensured that the Syncstation was not plugged-in while installing PC Suite (and only plugged-in to the USB after a reboot)
4. The USB you are using is not a USB hub
5. You have enabled the COM port selected by PC Suite using Control Panel/Phone Monitor

One more thing to check on the P800. On Control Panel/Connections/Cable ensure PC Link is selected and not Modem. Also try to delete/remove the USB COM port to force a re-instlaation of the USB drivers, in case these were corrupted initially. I have only seen this once before and that was with friend who had the latest version of XP Home. If you are using XP you need to have SP1 loaded.

I have just noticed that in system properties there is a yellow exclamation next to Usb Cable DCU-11 and in properties it says 'the device is either not present, not working properly or does not have the drivers installed (code 10).

I have tried reinstalling the drivers, could it be that the ones I have are corrupt. If so then could someone send me the ones they are using to;

See post by Fear-Factor above, he/she has given a link to where you can down load the USB driver.

The yellow exclamation probably means there is a conflict. Delete/remove the COM port, re-boot and then try to plug-in the Syncstation and hopefully this will resolve the conflict.

Also, sorry, not sure why I asked about XP in myt last post, given the title of your thread!
