All new phones need to have a sim update to activate the sms menu (afaik) so this may be why you have no sim archive,ring your network provider and ask them to do this,but if you already have then i dont know what your problem is.

hmm. thanks everyone for the replys. didn't find anything when i was searching, so i hope this thread maybe helps someone else.
i think im gonna tell my girlfriend the bad news, and tell her that her sms are fried. she can recieve normal sms now with her t610, so i think that will do.
i for one dont understand the thing with saving sms:s. its not like a special kind of letter; its just text-messages. anyways. the t610 is a nice phone, exept for the f**king vodafone logos _EVERWHERE_ on the phone. gonna try and fix a firmware update for her so get rid of the ugly icons. i mean; the orginal t610 icons are sweet; but the vodafone must have the idea "yeah! lets make the icons look crap on a vodaphone-branded phone!"
