yes but if the p900 can recive the signal from the 100m adapter it cant reply as its out of range the pc then disconnects. So basically a good tem nmetere adapter is as good as a 100m adapter as long as your using a p900.

So there is no chance of getting to use broadband on my P900 if im out side of 10 metres range in my house?

Im glad i looked at this as i was just about to order a 100m dongle over the net!

I also notice that the human hand attenuates the bluetooth signal a lot, and that the position of the p900 makes a difference. I reckon a safe working distance over bluetooth is 5-6 meters with the p900.

i might cable-extend my usb dongle so it reaches areas away from the PC that i want it. Or are there such things as stand-alone bluetooth signal repeaters?

The weak link is the P900, the 100m dongle can transmit through walls etc but the P900 cannot (it has to receive and transmit).

I know all that, thanks, but what I'm saying is that my home from top to bottom left to right is no more than 10M but I couldn't maintain a good signal with my old 10M one only upto about 2M where the 100M one finds the P900 & the P900 finds it anywhere in the house say 5M max distance at any point. Probably just had a crap 10M one while I read all the good feedback on estao and got the MSI 100M one.

With BT you can connect to PC to sync & transfer files at the PC(the normal stuff) the good bit being that you can lay in bed or on your Sofa browsing the WEB with the Opera Browser over BT using the PC DialUp or Broadband connection. Built in browser is difficult to get working via BT and don't think its possible to get mail over BT with P800/P900 mail app.

Its worth it for the Opera WEB browsing alone
