Samsung E700 can only receive via IR from other samsungs. Not any other brand. I am told this is to do with Samsung using a different Ir-protocol??
Wouldn't it be nice if every phone manufacturer would adopt the same protocol??

vlammetje, that's atrange.. cause when I had my T300, I sent a screensaver to SAMSUNG V200, and it worked perfectly.. nothing failed to connect...

I think I also did mention that I am merely repeating what I have been told. Not owning any Samsung phones at the moment, I cannot verify the info. However it is a fact that E700 won't accept any files from
phones, as has been discussed before, and most likely not from other brands either unless they use the exact same protocol I suppose.

The only thing I can send to a mate with a nokia is a v card. No pic or tones. But I can send anything to a mate with a Sagem MY-X65...even sound recordings and note.. the lot! Phat load of good them brokias... i mean nokias are!!!!
