I made a tiny circuit with an ir detector and high output emitter with a couple of high speed transistors at maximum gain. You plug it into the data/recharge port on the px00 and clip the device over the irda port. I got a range of 30 feet. I could improve on it by getting a better emitter and making the whole thing more efficient but i got bored and gave up.
