Thanks for all the tips.
I just got it opened and it doesn't look that great in there
Also I forgot to mention that I dropped it in SALT water, which probably makes it even worse.
I will try cleaning it with alcohol though.
About warrenty, the problem is that I'm in the U.S. where the phone is officially not even available. I bought it through eBay and that guy wont take it back, so I don't see a chance to return it anyway.

ok extract the circuit board. go down the drugstore and get a few bottles of isopropyl alcohol. its called rubbing alcohol in the usa. put it in a bowl and completely immerse the circuit board in it for a few seconds. dry it and repeat. clean all other electrical contacts with this alcohol also.dont use rye or vodka it wont work.
let us know how you get on.

even my phone went into the water once ...it was just 2 days old ..
it was there in the water for abt 2-3 sec i think ... then i took it out .. it was turned off coz of the water ... but then i did not turn it on ..
i started to shake it hard and fast .. that took out all most all the water which was there inside .. i shook it for quite some time ... and then i just took of the back cover and removed the battery and the sim card and kept the phone standing backwards towards the a/c for abt one hour or so ... by the time i got back it was chilled:) .. anyways then i tried turning it on and it did

but then i found that the screen was full of water and the speaker which is at the back had taken some water also .. the phone was not turning on at first but i just pressed the power button and kept it pressed for some time till the phone turned completely on ... then after that i found that the speaker volume had reduced a lot and the screen well it was all water inside ..
i still did not open it only thing i just gave my p900 some sunshine .. kept in the sin backwards for some time and then kept facewards for some time and then the speaker was fine coz all the water had been gone coz of the cold and than heat and the touch screen which water well that just takes time ... give some 5 days and the screen will be fine automatically ... the water will evaporate ...i did not even had to open my p900 ....thank god ..now its good has new no one can tell it fell in the water ....lol...
but ur case u did not do anything when it fell in the water so now i guess u will have to take it apart..... all the best ....
