To all those who belittle Ericsson: wake up and smell the damn coffee! Get your act together, people! All your brand new SE phones are built on Ericsson platforms. All that SE does is slap their logo on and write that really reliable software that you need to update every two months or so and which keeps your phone in 'tip-top' shape until you need to make the next upgrade. Progress...

I think you will find thought any piece of software is never relable. Windows anybody? Internet explorer constantly needing updates? Plus that you say about SE software been crashy. I have no experince but I have heard numerous complaints about ericsson software before SE being very crashy. I have said this before that I have nothing against ericsson and that we shouldn't just say Se are gud ericsson weren't but the simple fact is ericsson wouldn't be here today in the mobile phone market if it wasn't for SE.

IT'S THE OTHER WAY AROUND!!! I do admit that Ericsson software was not bug-free. The idea was that your phone is based and will be based on ERICSSON hardware, not SE. SE skin, Ericsson core.

This seems to be a topic which is on alot of peoples minds recently. I agree that ericsson should be left in the past but I don't agree with complelty dising ericsson. The best comparison I can think of for ericsson is to that of microsoft and apple. MS computers in my oppinion are dull crashy but popular because everyone has one. Where as apple are stylish and are less crashy. I think this is like nokia and ericsson, nokia are popular but well boring in my opinion and featureless. But I think before sony, ericsson were never going to make a come back. But with sony's money and power on the market they have turned aorund using both ericssons phone knowledge and sonys more technical knowledge. Personaly I agree that we should keep ericsson as the past and not just try to sweep it under the carpet and I don't think it should be swept under the carpet. However I have seen a thread recently about near enough 50% of people saying they would like to have a SE as their next phone. So what I think we should stop doing is moaning about who is best, ericsson before sony or sony etc etc and look at what the two have done together and how they have turned SE into a possible (I hope) nokia beater.
If you want to compare PC and Macintosh's with Nokia and Ericsson I will compare it with my knowledge...
I'm a PC person, and I never thought of using a Macintosh because of it's dull GUI until I saw Mac OS X...
Now I want one, if I could afford it...
Same with Nokia and Ericsson, I didn't want to leave Nokia until I saw the GUI of

's newer color screen phones...
But the difference is I HAVE a

now!!
