Right now I have torn my P900 completely apart! Trying to fix the squeaky noise AND see what it looks like

Very scary to open it, but also an interesting experience. I will let you know if it is working, when I put it back together... :-/

UPDATE:
Back together again and working perfectly! And no more squeaky noises

I was making PG tips but for the record we'll say earl grey. I cant believe some of you have been tampering with your P900, but at the same time im clad its worked and the squeaks have gone.
After mine was cured it got me thinking that all the phones contian the same (or VERY simiular) parts and so should not squeak. This lead me to believe that it must have been the way the where assembeld that caused the squeak. Just imagine them pumping off the production line as quick as they can by a work force who dont really care for the jobs, get the picture. So do we have it? Can the squeak really be cured for all by a little pushing playing here and there? Lets hope so!

Hrmm, tea, definitely an interesting method...*contemplating the scientific methodology behind this*...

Would a substitute to coffee work the same wonders, I wonder?

An analysis into the crystalline structure of our P900 casings might be in order...

Speaking of which, I came across a mate's squeaky P900 once and gave it a proper squeeze (not too hard, mind you!) and sort of pushed the sides in a little bit...that seemed to cure the squeek, and made the phone feel much more solid...looks like it's just bad assembly of parts!

Is the assembly on the production line automatically or manual? This message was posted from a T610

I am sure that it is automatic, given the production figures. Although they charge the equivalent of a Rolls, the quality sadly doesnt match.

when i first bought my p900 i didn't notice the squeak but after i dropped it i then began noticing it. i don't know if it had already been making the squeaking noise when i first bought it or did it begin after i dropped it. maybe it was already making the noise right from the start and i just noticed after i had read about it in a thread here in esato
