Doing a "Job" on your phone is not a simple thing now that the government have made the networks do more to reduce the desirabillity of phone fraud, it's not worth getting a black mark with insurance companies for, you may pay back most of the money in higher premiums in the future, stolen phones all go overseas from UK now, & the people that export them are VERY VERY ruthless.

Do yourself a big favour & look for LEGAL ways to get a good deal, because at your age, if you start defraudinng insurance companies now, by the time your 20 you will be in a terrible rut of petty crime & you will never make any money because although crime does pay, it only pays crappy money & you cant buy legit things like nice cars & a house because they will ask where you got the money

The wisdom of seven sages has spoken young lozishere.

Report it stolen. I dare you. Then watch how the insurance company rip you to shreds.

I ain't going to tell you how to beat the system. Because it can & has been done.

But this is called FRAUD! As you said yourself.

Fraud,drugs... the list is endless. Do you know what can of worms you just opened.

What late night programmes are you watchin sonny jim?

An easier way may be to report a PROPER fault. Then only hope they offer P900 if P800 is out of stock.

Fat chance though, as there will be plenty of refurbished P800's knocking about.

Yes... it will probably be refurbished. Read the insurance T&C's.

hahah i had a good laugh as some of u r more naive than a dog! First, what u have2do is2read ur insurance REAL well.U'll have ur answer there. There u'll find out what happens when u report it stollen.IMO an insurance is worthless as u cant prove some1 stole it from u unless u have injuries so u can say u've been molested..in france it was the only way they would accept a claim.Otherwise, they wouldnt pay ur phone. So no insurance4me. I never lost a phone anyway, neither stollen. This message was posted from a T610

If you report it stolen, don't you need a police report to prove that it was stolen?

Of course. If u steal ur ow phone,u go2the police and report it stollen, then go2the insurance co. and make the claim. They will inquire and won't give u the money cuz they need evidence and u can't provide it! Lol well,u have a 50-50 chance :-D This message was posted from a T610

BTW Im sure an 14yr old cant sign an insurance agreement in the UK. Surely thats illegal (Im guessin the insurance is in ur dads name), just like a 14yr aint allowed to have a 12 month contract. This message was posted from a P800

Its interesting to see the lack of personal integrity that some people have and how willing they are to admit to being low-life, just to keep up with the jones'

If this is where this guy is at in life at 14 perhaps we can all plan to visit him in jail in his 20's

but despite his personal failures, what gets me about all this phone fraud, and there is alot of it and this isn't the first time someone has discussed premeditated insurance fraud on Esato, is that the end result is that it costs us ALL more in phone insurance.

cheers mate!

hey there have got a P800 but want a P900. i also have insurance (c where this is going?) i was wonderin how easy it is to say your phone was stolen to the insurance ppl and get a new one and then swap or sell both P8s for a P9. any one have any ideas?
ps. pls dont ban me 4 this loooool
LoZ

Also quite easy to go to a phone shop, wait till the guy's back is turned or he's attending to some customer then grab a P900 and run! Since you're willing to commit a crime to get your upgrade
