Thanks very much @gelfen.
That answers my question to the T.
btw. @sony_eric , i havent checked for its complete discharge. but if i normally use for 2 days, my T610 Li-Po battery comes down to 60% discharge from a complete charge.
cheers
jade.
PS: can anyone tell me how to check standby time in a T610 fone ? do we have to manually monitor the hours or any software which gives us the time ?.
Thanks in advance.

The simplest way is really to charge your phone full and use it until it dies, then and only then żou will know for sure. I don“t worry too much what the battery indicator says, they, like car fuel gauges are seldom linear anyway. IE. my car goes much faster from full to ½ tank than from ½ to empty. I really don“t care since i know i can go at least 500km on a full tank, get my drift?
Anyway even if there were software that could show battery status they would probably be rather inaccurate. I know my t68i was anyway.. It even inspired a new expression among me and my friends: "SE-hours", where 290 SE-hours equalled 4 days

The most important difference between Li-Pol and Li-Ion batteries is that, Polymer batteries hates being fully discharged. You will charge them evertime possible and this helps you to get the best performance from battery.
My T610 and Ipaq uses Li-Polymer batteries and I am leaving them on charging craddle when I am not using them, and their battery performance is always at top. Also, Li-Polymer batteries uses advanced power cut chips to prevent overcharging.

good thread .. it answered some of my concerns for the T610 battery... mine also goes down 10 procent after only one day from fully charged..... it is not like the powerfull T68i which i only had to charge once a week......

you get far better talktime out of li-poly than standard lithium.
It also charges faster (I think)
And your right, manufacturers specs are never accurate, they are factory tested under extremely perfect conditions.
Ive a t610 an get about 2-3 hrs talktime and on average nearly 2-3 days standby. An i use the phone quite alot. (Texting, GPRS, Bluetooth & Camera) Id also average 45mins talktime a day.

The battery performance specified by the mobile phone manufacturers are probably laboratory figures. In reality it's unlikely that one can get these specified standby- and talktimes.
My experience is that it's very rare indeed.
In practical everyday use, don't expect very much more than half of the specified standby- and talktimes.

you *might* get factory figures if you stood right next to a GSM tower and didn't use the phone.

The only diff'rence between Li-Ion and Li-polymer is that the polymer is used to thin the battery, thus making it lighter but that's all.The performance is just the same, as well as the behaviour.

You'd need make sure it was room temperature in addition to leaving the phone under the gsm tower to get the quoted battery life. To be fair a number of years ago, two motorola's exceeded their stated usage and standby times in a magazine test
