I seriously hope my P900 doesn't need repair, as all I've seen of Celestica(UK) is a complete joke. My friend had a T28 which stopped charging one day, so he sent it back to be fixed, and about two weeks later he received his T28 back, with exactly the same fault. So it was sent away and this time a different one came back, with a keypad that didn't work. He then moved onto a T29 and had similar problems, the phones he was returned (different to the ones sent) were usually worse than the original, damaged screens, completely dead phones, locking up completely after 2 minutes of use etc.

AAAARGHH I TAKE IT BACK!!
I cant BELIEVE i didnt notice this yesterday, but good old celestica have managed to fix the fault, and create another one in the process! The camera housing is all squint and twisted; the rubber lens housing on the inside was all squished up and actually covered the lens completely! As a result, the external silver attatchment with the little "mirror" has been popped out a couple millimetres and now wont go back in properly! Luckily i managed to disassemble the handset and put it back together the right way which was VERY simple.. dont know why an official repair centre couldnt do it... but the piont is i shouldnt have had to fix a problem they had created. Im very fortunate the camera component wasnt damaged permanently. Goddammit celestica, you almost redeemed yourself this time, but sorry youre STILL CRAP!

Just to add...

never send anything to them other than the faulty parts, i.e. don't be sending memory cards or stylus's cause you'll never see them again!

I have sent my DSS-25 sync station off to them (P900 sync stand). I found NO where to buy a third party one but have bought a P800 sync stand (DSS-20) for the mean while.

They are taking their time! Im guessing something so small should simply be replaced (only 1.5 months old) rather than making the customer wait for so long while they attempt to fix it.

How do we offcially complain about Celestica UK to SE? I think we should be entitled to some compensation listening to all these stories!

I bought a P900 November time, it worked fine for just over a week, then stopped recognising the charger, I contacted SE and they told me to take it to a repair centre. I did this (which meant catching a ferry as i live on an island at bottom of UK) and they informed me that they couldn't fix it and would have to send it off to Celestica.

They sent it off on the friday and Celestica didn't get round to looking at it until the Wednesday, I found this out after sitting on the phone for an hour and a half, supposedly in a queue, eventually one of the staff took pity and answered my call only to tell me that everyone had packed up and gone home ten minutes ago! Charming!

She told me that because of my huge phone cost she would put a note through to rush my unit through for repair.

I called back the next day - naturally, no record of my call had been made! I explained what was going on to that phone operator and was told again that my phone would be given a nudge so that i would get it back before christmas. I also asked if it would be possible to return the unit to my home address to save the ferry journey, she replied that i would have to get the service centre to call them to confirm this.

After persuading the nice man at the service centre to endure the queue, he called, only to be told that he would have to fax this request through!

He did this and i called back the next day (i was starting to get some ideas about Celestica at this point) They had NO record of the fax - it had simply disappeared. The nice man at the service centre called them back and gave them an earful, they agreed to send it directly back to me (without a repeat fax from him).

So, i sat and waited...and waited...Christmas eve i got a phonecall from the service centre - they had my phone. Celestica had not sent it back to me, so i made the annoying ferry journey to go and collect it.

The invoice sheet said 'fixed by Ericsson' I rushed home in excitement to charge up my beloved phone as it was as flat as a pancake.

i got home, plugged it in and...NOTHING, still not recognising the charger. I called Celestica and they said that they had fixed it, but they couldn't do anything more because it is a foreign handset?!?!?!?!

I called the guy i got it from and he said it certainly wasn't and they were trying to worm out of dealing with me anymore. So i called SE, they said 'if Celestica say it's foreign, then it's foreign! We can't exchange foreign units, you have to send it back to the country of origin' I called the seller back and he got in touch with his stockist (Live Telecom) they weren't too happy with SE and Celestica's claim that it was a foreign unit and replaced my unit!

I'm not impressed with Celestica or SE, it got to the stage where i was seriously considering going back to bloody Nokia!

I have spent unnecessary money on phonecalls and travel all because no one at that bloody company talks to each other.

Of course, I've written a letter of complaint to both SE and Celestica, with no response...they've probably lost those letters as well. Tut
