Well,

today I went ahead and called SE Service about the problems with the Bluetooth. I will admit that I called the guys in Germany and they seemed a bit testy that I would dare question the functioning of their wonderbar(wonderful) product. The first question was, "are you sure it is not you, and you not understanding how Bluetooth acutally works?" After a few mins of telling him how my company did the bid for Vodafone in Germany(it was Mannesmann) he quickly backed down and was ready to listen. I then mentioned that on Esato, there are qute a few people that are having the same exact problem that I am having and that SE needs to look into this. He agreed to log this "complaint" and will get back to me. Let's cross our collective fingers and hope for the best.

Nothing will be done. They know exactly what the potential problems are. Rolling out something to fix it cost money and time. Besides the representatives that you talk to over the phone are not/never likely the software/hardware engineers that actually work on the phones. Which would explain why they were perplexed and defensive.

@ BigFeat

I hope that you are truly wrong. I have spent much time up at Ericsson, in both Sweden and Finland and they are pretty good at working out problems. The thing is, everyone needs to shout loudly about it.

Since I updated the firmware on my p900 I have not been able to pair up with my HBH30 earpiece. I tried everything possible, reset both the p900 and HBH30 and I'm still unable to pair up. I know my BT is working, because I was able to send and receive info from a p800.

I posted several threads in many sites and no one had a solution. So, I guess I've reached the "tombstone" thread that tells me that my pursuit for an answer dies HERE! What I read indicates that BT “choke ups” are common with many p900s after firmware update WORLDWIDE.

I bought mine from Dubai (UAE) and where I live in, which is Saudi Arabia, there aren’t any SE service centers, so that just demolished all hope for me...basically! Still though, I have faith in that somebody out there can help me solve this problem.

So, anyone got an idea that could help?

I have the upgrade and have found battery life improved a little..2 days, perhaps between charges. But then I have BT on all the time and lights on with power saver set to 1 min. Lights on permanantly in car holder.

My Plantronix M3000 headset seems to work OK..although I do find it does miss connect sometimes where it didn't before.

When I had problems I put it down to the fact that my phone was on my belt in its pouch...I have just recieved and installed my Car Holder and it seemed to work ok today.
