SE has stated that Megapixel cameras is possible today, but the current GSM networks are to slow to make them useful. Therefore we'll not see Megapixel cameras in SE GSM/GPRS phones. But if EDGE networks takes off (they are only available in a handful of countries), we might see a SE EDGE-phone with a Megapixel camera. But no SE GSM/GPRS phones with Megapixel cameras.
SE already has a phone with a Megapixel camera in Japan.

exactly. Besides there is a large market out there for 'not so trtendy mobiles' and

should get some sales there too.
Personally it takes minutes for me to email on lousy pic via gprs.... i dun want any bigger and better ones unless I can easily send them off as well!

Id have a T610 or Z600, but the memory is crap! The V5xx is basically slimar phone but has more than double the memory. Come on SE, give me a phone to replace my 7210!

But, there r still space for SE to develop besides the pixels of the cam...maybe use the 260 K colours...for a better display! or OLED screen ...
Come on, SE, be more outstanding ok?
Dont let ppl say " juz another normal phone" to u alright?

Sure there are other things to implement. But right now the SE phones are better or at least as good as the competitions. Nokia still have no phone that can compare with the T610 which has been on the market for a long time.
When it comes to screens.. I've had this discussion before and I don't believe there would be any noticeable difference between a 65k colour screen and a 260k colour screen, especially with the low resolutions of the screens. In fact with many images you would be hard pressed to tell the difference between 65k colours and 16.7 Million colours on a PC desktop running at 1024x768 (ie the difference between 16bit and 24bit). IMHO 260k screens is just a marketing stunt.. and nothing of real value.
OLED screens on the other hand would surely make a difference. The quality of the screen is also important as well as resolutions. A 65k 320x240 screen would be great... skip the 260k screens and go for higher resolutions.
And I do agree that a built in mp3 player would be great, the Z1010 has this... with 3G phones you'll have enough cpu power to handle all this tasks.. like audio/video decompression.

Hi buddies..
1. May i know what is 3G phone? and 4G?
2. And what is the maximum resolution for a hp? ( or does it have maximum? If yes, then would it be possible to have 1024x768 resoln. in future? )
3. ppcrockar, i do not agree with u on the 260 k... i think there is a tremendous difference from 60 k...coz i used a Sharp GX30(260k) 2 compare with other phones and it is the winner for obvious

@cyberkid
1. 3G phone is the phones using the third generation of mobilephone networks. Most phones today uses GSM. 3G phones will be using UTMS (or CDMA2000 in some countries). 3G phones will have much higher data transfer speeds, and can therefore use more advanced services like video telephone functions etc. 4G is the generation after 3G.. but this will most likely not be available until 2010 or something.
2. Well.. maximum resolution is depending on the hardware really. I don't really think there is really any limit except for cost, physical size etc.
3. Yes, there is a huge difference between the screen quality of the Sharp GX30 (although I've only tested the GX20) and other phones like for example the SE T630. But this has very little to do with the amount of colours. The Sharp GX20/GX30 uses a 240x320 resolution display while SE T630 uses 120x160 pixels. The much higher resolution makes the difference. 65k or 260k colours doesn't make much of a difference.

So, whether a mobile user can use 3G or not still depends on the country's network (has 3g or not) ?
And wht is EDGE?
Do u know how much colours the computer monitor has? (mine is 16bit)

yes.... you need a 3G network to be able to use the services.
depends on what type monitor one has on the PC, but how is this relevant???
