> T610 joystick problem

Yesterday, when I go to a mall, I found an SE roadshow where they offer free check up and SW upgrade.
Then I ask them to clean my keypad and joystick. They offer me to upgrade with additional cost ( they say free upgrade is just for the ones under warranty while my warranty have expired). Then I say ok.
But when I come back to them, I found out that they haven't done anything with my joystick, still stuck. Luckily they do upgrade the SW (though, I don't notice any different until now except the SW information in the service menu) and don't charge me for that,

I think I'll clean the joystick myself...

@bostein: since ur phone is out of warranty, u should try and open it urself and clean it nice.I mean, if the cleaning doesnt solve the prob it's time for a service job.They have to do some repairs and i don't think that's too expensive.
Cleaning doesn't always solve the prob if u used it intensively, like i did( mine is 6 months old).

Btw, anyone ever experience the "sony ericsson" brand on the top of the screen is dissapearing? and the artic blue color is getting wored out? Is it a common flaw or just happening on mine?
Sorry for getting a little apart from the topic, but I think I've seen this in one of the threads here.

But when u sold ur phone and the buyer sees the joystick problem..doesn't this lowers the price of the phone? If u fix it, the price will b better

Then It's only happening to mine
. I think the price is already dropping now (even more w/ that "symptoms"). In my country, the best reselling price is only nokia. But I'll check how much SE will cost me for the repair and calculate which is better...

Any chance of cleaning this or should I [reluctantly] shuffle back to the shop for help?
